A RESEARCH student examining northern dialect and accents wants to contact St Helens folk who are willing to have their voices tape recorded.
Phillip Tipton, from the department of language and linguistics at the university of Essex, particularly wants people age between 20 and 30 who have lived in St Helens since birth to help with his study.The recordings would take place between now and the end of July and will form part of research into language change and variation in North West England.
