A TEN-year-old boy was rushed to Whiston Hospital after being in collision with a car on West End Road in Haydock on Saturday, June 3.
An ambulance was called to at approximately 3.15pm. Paramedics reported that the youngster's injuries were serious but not life threatening.
A FIRE broke out in the back of a refuse truck on Jackson Street in the early hours of June 2. The driver had to tip a large quantity of ignited refuse onto the road at around 6.30am.
Two fire crews were called to the blaze. They remained on the scene for just over an hour.
