THIS well-drilled, leggy line-up of drum majorettes helped to high-kick the St Helens Borough Centenary celebrations into action during 1968.
It features girls from the Northgate factory, clothing and lingerie manufacturers on Parr industrial estate until its closure in 1989.
At its peak, the firm employed more than 900 locally. Now, a reunion (exclusively for former workers) is planned for Friday, November 26 at 8pm in the Globe Hotel, St Helens.
Wonder how many of these lively lasses from three decades ago will be among the guests?
