A MAN was taken to hopsital after his television set caught fire.
The 45-year-old suffered smoke inhalation when flames from the TV spread through the living room of the property on Burnage Avenue, Clock Face.
Emergency crews were called just before midnight on Friday (December 18) and firefighters in breathing apparatus tackled the blaze.
Paramedics took the man to Whiston Hospital.
The living room and kitchen were severely damaged by smoke.
