A MOPED rider has been banned from the road after being caught drug driving.
Brian Mitchinson, 35, of HM Prison Altcourse, was stopped on Cherry Tree Drive, in Parr, on Tuesday, April 7, this year.
He was found to have 49mg of cocaine per litre of blood, and more than 800mg of benzoylecgonine, a cocaine by-product.
Mitchinson pleaded guilty at Liverpool, Knowsley, and St Helens Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 22.

He was disqualified from driving for 16 months.
For the cocaine offence, he was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
No separate penalty was given for the benzoylecgonine charge, but the driving ban applies to both offences.
The court took his guilty plea into account when deciding the sentence.
