A MAN charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm during a burglary has appeared in court.
Jamie Renshall, 40, of Old Wargrave Road, Newton-le-Willows, appeared before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates’ Court on Monday, September 21, where he was remanded into custody.
The charges relate to an alleged incident at a property in Prescot on Saturday, September 19.
He is accused of burglary with intent to inflict GBH, criminal damage, and three counts of harassment in relation to alleged breaches of a restraining order.

Renshall is alleged to have contacted a woman and visited the address in violation of the order.
It is further claimed he entered the property as a trespasser and attempted to cause grievous bodily harm to the woman.
During the incident, police said the woman reportedly suffered an injury to her cheek and damage was allegedly caused to a stairwell banister.
Renshall has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on Monday, October 19.
