A MAN charged in connection with a street fight that left another man with a head injury has appeared in court.
The incident took place on Bridge Street in St Helens town centre shortly after 8pm on Friday, September 18.
Police said they were called over an "ongoing altercation" between two men outside the former Hudson Smokehouse.
One man, in his 30s, was allegedly knocked to the ground and suffered a head injury during the incident.

Daniel Brash, 36, of Mercer Street, Newton-le-Willows, was charged with wounding with intent in connection with the incident.
He appeared before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates’ Court on Monday, September 21.
During the hearing, the case was sent to Liverpool Crown Court.
Brash was remanded on conditional bail and is next due to appear at the higher court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on Monday, October 19.
