A MAN and a woman have been charged after three police officers were allegedly assaulted while responding to an incident at a pub.
The alleged attacks took place in Newton-le-Willows on October 11, 2025, at the Old Crow Inn on Crow Lane East after officers were called to reports of an assault at the premises.
Police arrived at the scene at around 10pm and residents described seeing officers in attendance near to the pub.
Craig Lockley, 41, of Porter Avenue, Newton-le-Willows, was due to appear at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 11, charged with three counts of assaulting emergency workers.

Meanwhile, Reihana Bell, 30, of Marian Avenue, Newton-le-Willows, also was due to appear in court charged with assaulting one of the officers during the same incident.
Both defendants were due in court for a first hearing on Friday afternoon, September 11.
