A ST Helens bookshop is celebrating Independent Bookshop Week with special offers and events.

The Book Stop, on Bridge Street, is hosting daily genre spotlights, offering 10 per cent off specific genres on designated days.

This includes Weird Wednesday (horror), Thirsty Thursday (spicy romance), Fantasy Friday (fantasy and romantasy), and Staff Pick Saturday.

On Saturday, June 20, the shop will host a free storytime event at 11am, featuring The Bookshop Cat by Cindy Wume.

No booking is required for this event.

The first 10 customers to spend £20 in store each day will receive a £5 Hi-Five National Book Token as a thank you for supporting the independent bookshop.

On the final day, June 20, extra vouchers will be given away to mark the end of Independent Bookshop Week.

These vouchers are activated online and will be ready to redeem in-store within 24 hours.

The bookshop is also offering a special deal for audiobook lovers.

Customers who sign up for a one-credit per month membership with Libro.fm using the code INDIEBOOKSHOPWEEK will receive two free audiobook credits.

This offer is available from June 13 to 20.

Independent Bookshop Week runs until June 20, celebrating the role independent bookshops play in their communities.
