A MAN has been charged with a series of historic sexual offences.
Gary Thompson, 59, faces 11 charges, including one of rape, six counts of adult sexual activity with a girl, two of assault by penetration and two of engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl.
The offences are alleged to have taken place in the 2000s.
Thompson, of Pottery Close, Whiston, was due to make a first appearance before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates’ Court this week.
