RESIDENTS in Eccleston are experiencing low water pressure following a suspected burst pipe, with one pub unable to open for lunch due to the disruption.

The burst pipe has left properties without water, causing unexpected disruption.

Parts of Eccleston have experienced a temporary water outage.

United Utilities has confirmed to residents it is investigating the issue.

Businesses and homees are affected.

Meanwhile, the Griffin Inn, on Church Lane, has been forced to close for lunch due to the outage.

On its Facebook page this morning, the Griffin posted: "Due to a local burst pipe and water outage in the area we are currently unable to open our doors for lunch. Hopefully, this will be sorted for us to open later.

"We will keep you updated."
