The findings show that Thatto Heath and Lea Green are the leading neighbourhood with 346 postcodes close to green spaces.
Town Centre East and Fingerpost follow with 332 postcodes, while Town Centre West has 290.
Newton-le-Willows and Windle & Dentons Green also made the top five, with 273 and 265 respectively.
At the other end of the scale, Garswood was found to have the least access, with only 99 postcodes within 900 metres of a park.
