St Helens Artisan Market set to return this weekend

AN artisan market - which made an impressive start to life in St Helens town centre last month - is set to return with more than 60 independent traders.

The St Helens Artisan Market will take place this Saturday (April 18), bringing together a celebration of independent makers, street food, live music, and family-friendly activities in Church Square from 10am to 4pm.

Visitors can explore a busy marketplace with more than 60 stalls offering handcrafted jewellery, home décor, sweet treats, and gourmet street food.

Lisa Cowley, owner of Independent Street, said: "We are so excited to be back in the heart of St Helens, our launch last month was a huge success and attracted visitors from far and wide.

"People commented on the high-quality selection of stalls, and it was lovely to see the community come together.

"Huge thanks to Gary Maddock and the St Helens Council for their support in delivering this event. We can’t wait to be back."

The market will also include a variety of free children’s activities including face painting, an arts workshop, and a sand art experience.

Live music will be provided throughout the day by musician Olly Flavell.

Traders will include A and A Sand Art, A.J’s Creations, Arts and Crafts by Roberta Mendonca, Bibie Jewellery Ltd, Cheeky Swine Hog Roast Ltd, Cheshire Cheesecakes, Taste of Cornwall, Crystalhealingvibe, Cutch Company Ltd, Daisy Louise Jewellery, Drewz Soapz, Elma Fragrance, Incey’s Bees, Kaleido Arts, Kookies UK, Marge & Mabels Homemade Dog Treats, Mawbray Cheese Company, Magical Melts Liv, Monami, Riverside Spirits, Slippery Cauldron, Sornaz Ltd (KooKooFood), Stardust Bakery, Tea Reef, The Doughnuteers, The Pizza Maker, and TO-PIE-FOR.

In addition, traders including Kick Ass Cheese, Tilly's Lemonade, Wickedly Good, and Jay's Sauce will be in attendance.

Other stalls will offer pet treats, home accessories, jewellery, pies, and international cuisine.

The market is delivered in partnership between Independent Street and St Helens Council, supporting local businesses and bringing a curated artisan experience to the town centre.

The event promises a relaxed atmosphere, unique finds, and a day of entertainment for all ages.
