Here's a list of nine of our favourite local stores that are worth a visit this week.

St Helens Book Stop
Located on Bridge Street, St Helens Book Stop is a community bookstore stocking a wide range of new books, both fiction and non-fiction.
Recently, the shop has unveiled plans for an expanded community space, which will cement its reputation as not just a book shop, but a community hub too.

The French Dresser
The French Dresser can be found on Kiln Lane in Eccleston.
This women's clothing boutique sells a range of brands, including Estella Bartlett, Chalk, and Envy.

They can also help with styling outfits for any occasion.
Speaking to the Star previously, owner Jess French said: "I hate it when people say there's nothing here, don't say there is nothing in St Helens, support your independents."
Simply Sewing
Situated on Thatto Heath Road, Simply Sewing offers classes for beginners and sewing machine repairs, as well as embroidery, upholstery, haberdashery, and gift services.

They stock wool, a range of fabrics, and personalised gifts.
The shop is also able to make keepsakes out of clothing.
Mirror Mirror
Mirror Mirror can be found on Nutgrove Road.
This friendly boutique sells fashion and jewellery, and aims to help women look and feel their best.

On their website, they state: "What makes Mirror Mirror special isn’t just the clothes, bags, and accessories we sell – it’s the community we’ve built around it.
"We are incredibly lucky to have such loyal customers who visit us each week, and we truly do think of Mirror Mirror as a family."
Kaleidoscope
Located on Westfield Street, Kaleidoscope is a record store stocking a wide variety of records, CDs, magazines, and memorabilia.

The business opened in 1984 and is set to take part in Record Store Day this year.
Record Store Day, celebrated on April 18, will bring 300 independent record shops all across the UK and Ireland together to celebrate their unique culture.
The Dog Den
The Dog Den is situated on Grange Park Road.
They sell premium pet nutrition and supplies, including raw dog food and supplements.
A pet ultrasound and microchipping service is also offered.
Cards N Party
Found on Clipsley Lane in Haydock, Cards N Party sells everything you need for a celebration.

This friendly small business stocks cards, wrapping paper, balloons, and various seasonal items.
The Bridal Loft
The Bridal Loft is located on Elephant Lane in Thatto Heath.
Specifically for curvy women, this bridal boutique sells sizes 12-50.

On their website, they say: "As a family-run business with three generations of curvy women, we understand the unique challenges you face when searching for the perfect dress.
"That's why we've created a welcoming space stocked with stunning samples up to size 36, along with a bespoke measurement service."
Sutton Pets & Exotics
Sutton Pets & Exotics is situated on Junction Lane in Sutton.

They stock feeders, aquariums, habitats, and quality pet supplies.
The business is family-run, and regularly shares deals and updates on their Facebook page.
