A MAN charged with rape has made a first court appearance.

Tyler Lynch, of no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of rape.

The 20-year-old faces Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, January 27.

The charges relate to alleged offences in St Helens between 2023 and 2025.

District judge James Hatton sent the case to Liverpool Crown Court.

Lynch was remanded into custody and is next due to appear before the higher court on Monday, February 16.
