A NUMBER of homes and businesses in several areas of St Helens have been hit by power cuts this morning.
The issue affected numerous addresses, including around the Sutton area of Baxters Lane and Robins Lane, Sutton.
SP Energy Networks said the area had been affected by the outage shortly before 5am on Thursday.
The power cuts affected primarily WA9 postcodes.
In updates through the early hours SP Energy Networks said the issue was taking longer than expected to solve, however, it has since provided an update saying the fault had been resolved and the power restored.
