A MAN has been charged with rape after police were called over an alleged incident.
Officers confirmed they have charged a suspect in connection with a reported incident in St Helens on Friday evening, September 26.
Lewis Smith, of Canberra Avenue, Thatto Heath, was charged with rape and assault causing actual bodily harm (ABH).

Smith, 33, was remanded into custody to appear at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court today, Monday, September 29.
