A RACEGOER who styled her entire look from pre-loved pieces in her own wardrobe wowed judges to win this year’s Style Awards at Haydock Park Racecourse.
Alison Forster from Worsley, Manchester, clinched the top spot in the annual competition - despite only deciding to enter at the very last minute.
Dressed head-to-toe in striking red, her outfit caught the eye of judges.
A regular at Haydock Park, Alison was chosen alongside Grace Calvey and Rebecca Davenport as one of the three most stylish racegoers on Betfred Rose of Lancaster Stakes Ladies Day, Saturday.
Speaking after learning she had won the top prize, Alison said: “I wasn’t even sure about entering.
"When we went to the Style Pod, they told us there were only two minutes left for entries, so I was actually thinking about leaving!

“I’d seen so many gorgeous outfits all day and honestly felt there were people more deserving than me.”
Alison revealed that the trip to the races had been a spontaneous decision, made just two days earlier, and that her outfit came entirely from items she already owned.
“This dress is what I wore to my daughter’s graduation,” she said. “I already had the shoes, they were originally £8 on eBay and the hat was from Vinted.
"I love colour blocking, so everything from my earrings to my bag and shoes is red.”

The judging panel featured TikTok fashion influencers The Scouse Stylists, Gemma Cutting from The Guide Liverpool, and 22-year-old Katie Morris from St Helens.
Katie herself won the Style Awards at the Randox Grand National Festival’s Ladies Day at Aintree back in April.
Haydock’s next fixture is the prestigious Sprint Cup Celebration Meeting, which takes place from Thursday, September 4 – Saturday, September 6.
