A CYCLIST suffered serious head injuries after a collision with a car.
A red Citroen and a cyclist were involved in the incident on Clipsley Lane, Haydock on Monday evening, April 7.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 8.15pm.
The cyclist, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries, which police say are "not life-changing".
The driver of the Citroen stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with inquiries, police said.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "We are appealing for information following a report of a collision involving a cyclist and a car in Haydock yesterday evening,
"At around 8.15pm emergency services were called to a report of a collision involving a red Citroen car and a cyclist on Clipsley Lane.
"The cyclist, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries which are not life changing.
"The driver stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with their inquiries."
