A ROAD closure was in place on the East Lancs Road this morning due to concerns for the safety of a man.
Police were called this morning, Wednesday, September 18 at around 7.15am and a road closure is now in place on the East Lancashire Road bound from City Road while the incident is being dealt with.
As of 10.30am, police have updated the public that the road is now reopened.
The Star has asked Merseyside Police for an update on the welfare of the man.
