POLICE are hunting a burglar after a town centre bar was broken into.
A burglar smashed their way into the Little George Quarter, on George Street, in St Helens during the early hours of this morning, Thursday, August 29.
The intimate venue was launched in 2023, and includes a ground floor bar and upstairs sports bar.
Police have issued an appeal for information after the break-in.
It is understood there was one offender, who stole alcohol and caused damage at the premises.

On its Facebook page, the Little George Quarter posted this morning: "Due to unforeseen circumstances and with no small help by a piece of scum who thought it would be a good idea to smash our windows and break in to LGQ in the early hours of the morning, we are not going to be able to give an opening time today, if we open at all, please see Facebook page for updates, sorry for any inconvenience caused by such a mindless moron."
A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "We received a report at 6.45am today, Thursday, August 29, of a burglary at the Little George Quarter on George Street.
"It is believed that in the early hours of today unknown offenders broke a window at the premises and stole alcohol.
"Inquiries are in the process of being carried out.
