POLICE have issued images of suspected stolen jewellery that was recovered in St Helens.

At around 5.45pm on Sunday, August 25, officers attempted to stop a suspected stolen bike on Carr Mill Road.

Police say that two males abandoned the bike and fled the scene, while also discarding a large quantity of jewellery.

Following further enquiries, officers say that the bike is believed to have been stolen from an address in Lancashire in July.

Enquiries are ongoing to trace the owner of the jewellery and identify the offenders, police have confirmed.
