A CLOSURE remains in place on an M57 slip road after a tanker was overturned on Monday.
The closure is for emergency resurfacing works and barrier repairs to take place.
It is likely to be in place until tomorrow, Wednesday.
Emergency services attended the crash shortly before 10.30am yesterday, which saw the tanker overturn.
The driver was reportedly checked over by paramedics after being extracted from the vehicle by fire and rescue crews.

This morning the National Highways North West X account posted: "The M57 northbound entry slip road at J5 Kirkby remains closed following yesterday's collision involving an overturned tanker.
"This will likely remain closed until Wednesday morning due to extensive resurfacing and barrier repairs that are needed to make the road safe."
Live traffic tracker INRIX states: "M57 Northbound entry slip road closed due to emergency resurfacing repairs at M57 J5 / A580 (East Lancs Road) Knowsley.
"Following an overturned lorry Monday morning."
