A ROAD has been closed both ways this evening following reports of an accident.
Elton Head Road at Rainhill is shut due to accident investigation work between B5413 Rainhill Road and Stratton Drive, according to traffic monitoring service Inrix.
Residents reported a presence of police and emergency crews at the scene.
Details of what has happened are yet to be released by the emergency services.
