PEOPLE from across the borough caught glimpses of the famous Red Arrows over the weekend.
After the Red Arrows' performance was cancelled at last year's Southport Air Show, their return to the coast was highly anticipated.
With a full schedule of events at Southport Air Show, the Red Arrows flew to the coastline and performed in formation on Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14.
The return of the Arrows proved to be a success over in Southport, and although the planes were not scheduled to fly over much of the borough, residents reported seeing and hearing them fly overhead.
With the Arrows setting off and returning to Liverpool John Lennon Airport, residents reported seeing the planes in central St Helens, Haydock, Parr, Blackbrook, Rainhill, Newton-le-Willows, Rainford and Carr Mill.
