A MAN and woman have been released under investigation following lengthy searches in St Helens last week.
As reported by the Star, several police officers and vehicles were witnessed around the Jackson Street industrial estate last week.
Officers are believed to have been supported in the search by forensics teams and police dogs, with police searching the area for two days.
It was later confirmed that the searches were taking place in connection with alleged drugs offences, with a man and woman arrested on Wednesday, July 3.

Although no charges have been made as yet, police have confirmed that a 70-year-old man from St Helens was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
A 47-year-old woman from St Helens was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
Both have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
