POLICE have given an update on their investigation after two men were arrested in connection with alleged criminal damage after reportedly entering people's gardens during the night.
Officers swooped on Elizabeth Road, in Haydock, late on Tuesday night, June 18, to reports of criminal damage.
It was reported that two men were entering gardens, kicking bins over and causing damage to vehicles on Elizabeth Road.
A 28-year-old man from Thatto Heath and a 22-year-old man from Oldham were both arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage to a motor vehicle, and taken into custody.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said after the incident: "Two men have been arrested following reports of criminal damage in Haydock yesterday evening, Tuesday, June 18.
"At around 11.30pm we received reports that two men were entering gardens, kicking bins over and causing damage to vehicles on Elizabeth Road.
"Officers attended and arrested a 28-year-old man from Thatto Heath and a 22-year-old man from Oldham on suspicion of criminal damage to a motor vehicle.
When asked by the Star for an update on the arrested suspects, a Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "They have both been released on bail pending further inquiries."
