ST HELENS Council has given the date it expects repair works to be completed on a road where a sinkhole appeared.
There has been a closure on Market Street, in Earlestown, since last week after part of the road collapsed.
St Helens Council's highways team attended after the sinkhole appeared on the carriageway as a result of an issue with the main sewer.

The road has been closed with the junction of Crow Lane West and also at the junction of Heather Brae.
When asked for an update today by the Star, a St Helens Borough Council spokeswoman said: "United Utilities have said they expect the full repair to be complete by close of play on Friday (June 21) with restrictions lifted thereafter."
