A 54-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with the supply of cocaine as part of a major police investigation into encrypted devices.
Carl Patrick Murphy, of Home Farm Road, Knowsley Village was arrested on Thursday, June 13.
The arrest was made connection with information found as part of Operation Venetic, the national investigation into the use of Encrochat encrypted mobile devices.
The data related to the supply of significant quantities of cocaine and cash.
Murphy has since been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and conspiracy to conceal/disguise/transfer/remove criminal property.
He has been remanded into custody and was due to appear at Wirral Magistrates' Court today (Friday, June 14).
