TAYLOR Swift will perform for three nights in Liverpool this week and travel and traffic disruption is expected.

The American pop star is bringing her sell-out The Eras Tour to the UK and is performing three concerts in Liverpool from Thursday, June 13 to Saturday, June 15 with Paramore as the supporting act.

With around 53,000 tickets sold each night, thousands of people are expected to visit Liverpool over the three days and fans travelling to the concerts could face disruption

Ahead of the sell out shows here is all you need to know about road closures for the big events, as well as public transport to and from the concert.

There are a range of options for travelling to Anfield via public transport, while walking routes are also available from the city centre and nearby train stations. 

By bus

Travelling by bus is fast, frequent, and convenient with 'express' services that will get you to and from Anfield and Liverpool City Centre in around 15 minutes.

The 917 Stagecoach express shuttle bus service operates direct to and from Liverpool city centre (Commutation Row) and Sandhills Train Station direct to anfield stadium from 3.30pm onwards each show day.

After each concert, buses returning back to Liverpool City Centre and Sandhills Train Station will be available approximately 10 minutes after the end of each concert.

Customers are advised journeys from Commutation Row (Liverpool City Centre) will drop off/pick up at Arkles Lane, Anfield. Services from Sandhills Train Station will drop off/pick at Walton Lane (at the junction with Anfield Road), short walk to Stadium.

Other services are available...

From Liverpool City Centre, take the 26 from Liverpool ONE bus station, 17 from Queen Square Bus Station or the 917 from Commutation Row, directly to the ground. The 68/168, which operates between Bootle and Aigburth, and the 14 and 19 (from Queen Square) stop a short walk away from the ground.

The Concert Bus will as run normal for all concerts between Sandhills Station and Anfield as part of the 917 shuttle bus service. You can find out more by clicking here.

If you need help finding the 917 or advice on linking to other transport services, there will be a dedicated fan support team based in Lime Street Station and Communication Row 30 minutes before first scheduled departure of the 917 service (3.30pm) and gates opening.

By train

If you're travelling from outside the Liverpool area...

Lime Street Railway Station is Liverpool's mainline station for regional and national journeys. It is two miles from Anfield.

From 12:30pm each show day, we'll have a dedicated fan support team based in Lime Street Station to help direct you to the most convenient transport services, including buses that will take you directly to the ground.

Taxis are also available from Lime Street.

TransPennine Express has direct services into Lime Street from Scarborough and Newcastle calling at stations from across the north of England including Manchester, York, Leeds, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Durham, Darlington, Warrington Central and Liverpool South Parkway. If you're travelling within the Liverpool area...

Merseyrail operates regular services across 67 stations throughout Merseyside. Passengers can get regular services into Liverpool from Ellesmere Port, Chester, West Kirby and New Brighton on the Wirral Line and Southport, Ormskirk, Kirkby and Hunts Cross on the Northern Line. Take advantage of park and ride. Several Merseyrail stations have car parks. You can find them here.

Passengers travelling to concerts can use either the Concert Bus from Sandhills station for just £1.60 for adults and 80p for kids or enjoy a short walk or cycle from Kirkdale station. Merseyrail trains run between Sandhills and Moorfields/Liverpool Central every four – seven minutes throughout the day, so it’s easy to catch your connecting train.

Passengers living in South Liverpool can get the Southport to Hunts Cross service which calls at Brunswick, St Michael's, Aigburth, Cressington, Liverpool South parkway and Hunts Cross. Those using Soccerbus can get a Southport/Hunts Cross train to and from Sandhills. Passengers travelling to or from Kirkdale will need to change at Moorfields. Services run on this line every 15 minutes throughout the day and evening Mondays to Saturdays and every 30 minutes on Sundays.

Many mainline rail services call at Liverpool South Parkway. If you get off here, you can connect on to Merseyrail's Northern Line which will take you to Sandhills station. From here you can either pick up the Concert Bus to Anfield (you can find out more here) or walk to the stadium in less than 30 minutes. Walking routes are signposted.
