A MAN has been arrested after firearm, burglary, and drugs offences across Merseyside.

On Monday, November 6, 2023, a burglary is reported to have taken place on Red Cat Lane in Crank.

It was then reported that a firearm was discharged on Alvina Lane, Kirkby, on Friday, December 22, which caused damage to a front door.

Another firearm incident was reported on Friday, January 26, 2024, with reports that shots had been fired at a property on Eaton Road, in West Derby.

A male is also reported to have entered a property on Henlow Avenue, in Kirkby, and fired a gun on Friday, February 2.

Following these reports, a 21-year-old man from Liverpool has been arrested on suspicion of three counts of possession with a firearm with intent to endanger life.

He was further arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit burglary in connection to the Crank incident, as well as drugs offences including acquiring/using/possessing criminal property and being concerned in the supply of a controlled Class B drug (cannabis).

He has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Detective Chief Inspector Phil Atkinson said: “We can confirm that a man has been arrested in connection to three recent firearm discharges and investigations remain ongoing into each incident.

“We are relentless in our pursuit of those involved in serious organised crime and we are determined to remove firearms from our streets.
