A WOMAN who has pleaded guilty to wounding is to be sentenced by a judge next week.

Sonia Munro, of Kings Road, West Park, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court via video link from custody on Thursday (May 23).

The 45-year-old, who wore a hoodie over video link, was due to be sentenced for the offence.

The hearing heard that Munro had pleaded guilty to wounding during an earlier plea and trial preparation hearing in relation to the incident which happened on March 21 this year.

However, prosecuting barrister Derek Jones told judge Gary Woodhall there was a victim personal statement that had been made but was not available for the court to access.

He added there was also some “confusion” in relation to a restraining order, which had been imposed.

Judge Gary Woodhall adjourned sentencing until Friday, May 31 for these matters to be resolved.

Judge Woodhall told Munro: “There is to be an adjournment until May 31. You are remanded in custody in the meantime.”
