MESSAGES of congratulations have been pouring in for Tommy Makinson after the Saints winger revealed he had married his long-term partner Beth Cunningham.

The couple took to Instagram to announce they had tied the knot, sharing the message: "Finally Mr & Mrs Makinson".

Tommy also posted a picture, which read: "Finally Mr & Mrs. Beautiful day with the family
❤️"

The picture of the happy couple prompted hundreds of messages to be shared, including many from the winger's team-mates and the Saints club account.

Centre Mark Percival wrote: "Congrats guys made up for you both."

Sione Mata'utia added: "Congrats guys 👏😍"

Meanwhile, broadcaster Helen Skelton offered her congratulations too.

At the weekend, Tommy, a hugely popular player, sat down in front of the Saints cameras to issue a heart-felt message to the supporters after announcing he is departing at the end of the season.

The Wigan-born flankman has been a key component of Saints’ glory years since being handed his debut by Royce Simmons in the on-the-road year in Widnes in 2011.

There have been some tough years along the way, but they have been more than outweighed by successes.

And Makinson has played a key role in the way Saints have played for more than a decade with his set-starting hard carries being valued every bit as much as his flamboyant one-handed corner flag finishes.
