TRAIN delays took place this morning on the Liverpool Line after officers were called to a concern for welfare.
British Transport Police confirmed that: “Officers were called to Prescot railway station just after 9am today (22 May) to reports of a concern for welfare.
“Officers attended and a person was taken to a place of safety.”
The train delays affected those taking trains to Liverpool from St Helens Central and elsewhere on the same route.
The service is now operating normally.
