A WOMAN has been fined, disqualified from driving and given a community order after failing to stop at the scene of a crash in St Helens.

On Sunday, November 26, a Kia and Citroen collided on St Helens Linkway.

The driver of the Kia, Janine Woods, failed to stop after the incident, which caused damage to the other vehicle.

Ms Woods, of Field Way in Rainhill, was later found to have been driving while exceeding the prescribed limit for alcohol.

The courts also ordered Ms Woods to pay a fine of £120 for costs to the Crown Prosecution Service, as well as a £162 surcharge.
