IT has certainly been a wet April so far with the start of spring not bringing the change in the climate that might be expected.

However, the April showers are due to relent, at least for a short while, with drier and warmer weather expected in St Helens over the coming days.

Today, Thursday sees a high temperature of 18C this afternoon at around 3pm, with much of the day likely to stay dry, albeit cloudy. There is a possibility of some light ran tonight from around 8pm.

Meanwhile, Friday should remain dry with temperatures in the mid-teens for much of the day and a cloudy sky again.

Saturday again will be cloudy changing, with light showers expected in the afternoon and a high of 15 degrees.

Sunday is set to be a bit cooler with sunny intervals changing to cloudy by lunchtime.
