A MAN was found dead at a hotel grounds after police were called to a report of a concern for safety.
Emergency services attended the Mercure, on Linkway West, St Helens on Tuesday morning, April 2.
A police spokeswoman confirmed that paramedics attended but a 70-year-old man was sadly confirmed dead at the scene.
The death is not being treated as suspicious, she added, and a file has been passed to the coroner.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "We were called to the Mercure Hotel on Linkway West in St Helens at 7.05am yesterday (Tuesday, April 2) following concern for safety of a 70-year-old man.
"Paramedics attended but the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file has been passed to the coroner.
"Inquiries are ongoing to trace his next of kin."
