A FRIENDLY hockey game ensured that 148 children in children’s homes and charities got an Easter egg.
St Helens Hockey Club hosted the friendly in-club tournament, but instead of paying to play, the members donated one or more Easter eggs to be donated to Abbeyford, Inspire, Derian House and Marydale.
The aim was to provide those children less fortunate this Easter something to smile about and enjoy.
The event took place on Saturday, April 30 in the sunshine.
Lee Ellison, one of the organisers of the event said: “The day was a tremendous success with 148 eggs donated from the players, their families and supporters.
“The sun was shining and everyone had a really fun day.”
