A MORRISONS supermarket that had to be evacuated on Saturday evening due to a fire was reopened as normal the following day.
The store on Boundary Road was evacuated after a fire had broken out inside, with Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service (MFRS) called to the scene.
Crews were alerted at 7.36pm and three fire engines were on the scene shortly afterwards.
An industrial oven was involved in the fire and a "full store evacuation" was carried out.
Crews used fire extinguishers to control the fire in the ducting, MFRS said.

On Saturday evening, a MFRS statement added: "The oven fire has now been extinguished and crews are checking for fire spread in the surrounding area.
"Temperature checks are being conducted regularly and staff members are being allowed back in unaffected areas of the store."
There were no reports of anyone being injured.
A Morrisons spokeswoman said the store was reopened the following day.
She sad: "We closed the site from 7.30pm for the evening on Saturday and reopened the next day as usual."
