A HEALTHCARE worker has denied raping a woman patient at Whiston Hospital.

Sidharth Nair, of Jason Street, Everton, Liverpool, also denied three other sexual offences involving the same alleged victim at the hospital on the same date.

The 28-year-old told a Liverpool Crown Court judge: “I didn’t do it.”

He pleaded not guilty to raping the woman, assaulting her by penetration and two sexual assaults. The offences allegedly occurred in January.

Judge Anil Murray fixed a date for his trial, estimated to last five days, to begin on July 15, and he further remanded Nair, who appeared via video link from prison, in custody.
