A MAN has been arrested following a crash between a car and a motorbike.
The incident happened on Upholland Road in Billinge on Monday at about 3.20pm.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with an ankle injury.
The driver of the car, a man in his 70s, stopped at the scene.
In a statement, police said: "A 21-year-old man from the Burscough area was later arrested on suspicion of failing to provide preliminary samples, failing to provide a blood sample, driving while disqualified, theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving.
"Enquiries remain ongoing."
