PLANS are afoot to create a walking and cycling path near to playing fields in a residential estate.
Proposals for the construction of a 3.5m wide footway and cycleway facility, from Elderflower Lane to Bishop Road, next to Bishop Road Playing Fields, in Dentons Green have been drawn up.
The plans have been listed on the council's planning portal, with the local authority cited as the applicant.

A description of the proposals state they are for the "construction of 3.5m wide shared use facility from Elderflower Road to Bishop Road".
It adds the surface will be "tarmac" and proposals include for "benches, street lighting, litter bins, cycle parking and planting" at the location.
A decision on the plans is expected by April 3.
