A MAN had to be taken to safety by police after reports of "disorder" outside a property in Prescot.

Officers said a crowd had gathered outside an address on Monday evening, February 12.

Police attended after receiving a report of a concern for safety of a man living in the area.

A spokesman said a man was taken to a place of safety.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "We can confirm that emergency services attended following reports of disorder outside a property in Prescot.

"Officers received a report of a concern for the safety of a man living in the area and that a crowd had gathered outside an address in connection to this incident.

"The crowd started to disperse and the man has been taken to a place of safety."
