COTTOMS Pies have given back to those most in need in the community by raising funds for Teardrops.

The famous pie and sausage maker has been based in St Helens since the 1940s and have raised £1,500 to aid Teardrops in their mission to support the community.

The fundraising took place throughout December and the first week of January, and involved a pledge to donate 10p to Teardrops Charity for every family pie sold by Cottoms.

The heart-warming effort aimed not only to spread joy through delicious meals but also to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need during the holiday season.

In addition to making the financial donation Cottoms regularly makes deliveries of their pies and sausages to the charity, to help them provide a satisfying meal and comfort to the homeless people visiting their centre.

Will Munro Managing Director at Cottoms, said: "We are thrilled to announce the success of our Christmas fundraising campaign in partnership with Teardrops Charity.

"Our commitment to social responsibility and our community goes beyond providing great meals; it extends to making a positive impact on the lives of those less fortunate.

“We are really grateful to our customers and shop staff who embraced this initiative, allowing us to contribute £1500 to Teardrops Charity and we will continue to support them with our regular food deliveries."

Nick Dyer, general manager at Teardrops, said: "We are extremely grateful for Cottoms ongoing commitment to our cause. This donation will make a real difference in the lives of individuals who need it most.

“We are going to stick the giant cheque on the wall."
