CRIMESTOPPERS is offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information that leads to the arrest of a man wanted in connection with the murder of a teenager in Ormskirk.
The appeal follows the murder of 19-year-old Matthew Daulby, from Lydiate.
Matthew was killed after being stabbed to death in Ormskirk town centre on Saturday, July 29, 2023.
His parents have described their son as “a vibrant, loving and funny teenager" who had "a huge zest for life". He was about to start a management apprenticeship.
Thomas Dures is wanted in connection with Matthew’s murder as part of the investigation.

The public are advised not to approach Dures, but to contact the charity Crimestoppers anonymously if they know where he is hiding. In an emergency, always dial 999.
Independent charity Crimestoppers is supporting this investigation by offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information the charity exclusively receives – either online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling 0800 555 111 at any time – that leads to the arrest of Thomas Dures.
'A young man lost his life in tragic circumstances'
Gary Murray, regional manager for the North West at the charity Crimestoppers, said: “A young man has lost his life in tragic circumstances and it’s vital that Thomas Dures is found for face questioning.
“Our charity, which is independent of the police, has always kept its promise of anonymity since we began in the 1980s. Millions of people have trusted us over the decades with their crime information.
“Please call our UK Contact Centre on freephone 0800 555 111, which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, or fill in our website’s secure anonymous online form. No one will ever know you contacted us. We cannot trace your call or track your IP address and we never ask for or record any personal details. Remember that you can share with us where Dures is hiding and no one will ever know.”
Information passed directly to police will not qualify for the reward. The reward will only qualify for information passed to Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 number or via the charity’s website.
