A 34-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with burglary offences at a supermarket in St Helens.
Several burglary offences were reported in the last month where a man had trespassed into the warehouse of Tesco Extra on Linkway and stole goods including chocolate and cigarettes.
Following enquiries officers arrested a man yesterday, Wednesday, January 3.
Shane Anthony Joseph Smethurst, 34 years, of no fixed address, has been charged with three counts of burglary, and one offence of attempted burglary.
Smethurst remains in custody and will appear in court at a later date.
