HERE is when tips will be open in St Helens over the Christmas period.
Merseyside Recycling & Waste Authority (MRWA) and its contractor Veolia are reminding people that the Household Waste Recycling Centres are open most days, except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
Winter opening times are generally from 8am until 5pm, while the one in Rainhill has slightly different hours.
Many items are accepted at Recycling Centres such as cans, cardboard, garden waste, glass jars and bottles, paper, large plastics, scrap metal, textiles, toys and white goods.
All the centres accept electrical items, don’t forget to remove any batteries and recycle them separately.

Household Waste Recycling Centres are provided by Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority.
ALL Recycling Centres in Merseyside are available to use by all Merseyside householders.
Vans: An appointment system is in place at all Merseyside’s Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) for people using vehicles such as vans or large trailers.
