A MUSICAL 'extravaganza' is set to take place on Saturday as Clock Face Miner's Recreation Club hosts its Brass Band Concert. 

Taking place on Saturday, December 23 from 7.30pm, the event is not only a celebration of the holiday season but also a tribute to the long-standing association between the club and the renowned Greenalls Brass Band, now known as the Clock Face Miners Heritage Brass Band.

The concert, which is free of charge, promises to be a 'cracking night' filled with melodious tunes and holiday cheer.

The Clock Face Miners Heritage Brass Band has become an integral part of the Clock Face community, delivering soul-stirring performances not only within the club but also in the surrounding areas.

In a special nod to the band's historical significance, they have officially become the Clock Face Miners Heritage Brass Band, aligning themselves with the club's rich history and heritage.

Next year marks the band's impressive 60th anniversary as a brass ensemble, a testament to their enduring passion for music and community engagement.

Founding members Mr. Jim Ball and Mrs. Sandra Ball have been instrumental in the band's journey, being active members and players since its inception.

The Christmas concert is set to be a memorable occasion, combining the joy of the season with the timeless melodies of the Clock Face Miners Heritage Brass Band.
