AN 83-year-old man who was reported missing has links to St Helens town centre, police say.
Peter Hamilton was last seen at about 2pm on Friday, December 15, leaving his home in Huyton.
Officers carried out extensive enquiries to find him and appealed to anyone who may have seen him to come forward.
Peter is described as around 5ft, 8inches with grey hair.
He was last seen wearing a grey baseball cap, a short leather jacket, jeans and black shoes.
Merseyside Police have since confirmed that Peter has been found in the early hours of Saturday morning (December 16).
In a statement police said: "Peter has links to St Helens town centre.
"If you see Peter, please call 999 so we can make sure he is safe.
"You can also pass on sightings of Peter via our form: https://www.merseyside.police.uk/ro/report/mp/v2/add-something-reported-missing/ or any other information to @MerPolCC or 101."
