WILLOWBROOK Hospice has postponed its Light Up A Life and Christmas Shine events on Saturday following weather forecasts for heavy rain and high winds.
The hospice said it had taken a difficult decision after studying Met Office predictions for Saturday.
In a statement the hospice, which is in the process of rearranging the event, said: "Whilst we understand this news may be disappointing, our top priority is ensuring the safety of our supporters, staff, and volunteers.
"We are in the process of rearranging the event to take place one week later, on Saturday, December 16 at 4pm and really hope that you are able to join us on this day instead.
"The Book of Honour will be available to view at our hospice quiet space from Tuesday 12th December from 10am till 4pm every day until Saturday 16th December.
"We want to express our heartfelt thanks for your ongoing support. Your dedication to Willowbrook Hospice is truly appreciated."
